INDICATIONS
- Sealing of fissures and occlusal surfaces for caries prophylaxis
- Sealing of extended fissures
- Filling of small cavities
STORAGE:
- Store Fissurit FX at temperatures between 4 °C - 23 °C and protect from light.
- Application cannulae type 40
DIRECTION TO USE
- Fissures should be sealed as soon as the eruption of the tooth allows treatment and a dry work field can be secured.
- After drying, thoroughly clean the surfaces to be sealed (rotating brush/cleaning paste), spray and dry. In case of incipient carious lesions or unclear diagnosis extend the fissure with a fine instrument.
Etching:
- Apply Vococid etching gel (blue colour for control), work in with a short-haired disposable brush and let act for 15 - 30 s according to the condition of the enamel.
- Thoroughly rinse and dry.
- The etched enamel should have an opaque and matt-white appearance.
- Avoid subsequent contamination.
- Please refer also to the Vococid instructions for use
Syringe application:
- Remove the protective cap from the syringe.
- Place a new cannula on the Fissurit FX syringe.
- To avoid air bubbles, hold the syringe vertically and press the material up to the tip of the cannula. Fissurit FX homogeneously flows from the cannula upon light to medium pressure.
- Check the cannula for clogging if stronger pressure becomes necessary.
- Apply Fissurit FX from the margin into the fissure or cavity and let penetrate for 15 - 20 s.
- Remove any air bubble (e. g. with a fine probe).
- Important: Turn the piston of the syringe after application to relieve it from pressure and to avoid unnecessary flow of the material.
Light-curing:
- Polymerise Fissurit FX for 20 s per surface and check the sealing.
- To lightcure this material conventional polymerisation devices are suited.
- The light output should be a minimum of 500 mW/cm2 on halogen polymerisation devices and 300 mW/cm2 on LED devices.
- Re-seal deficit areas, remove excess cautiously (e. g. finishing diamond) and polish if necessary (rubber polisher).
- Then apply a fluoride varnish on the treated and neighbouring teeth.
